Meet Our Family

Mary Ellen & Will Loberger - Owners

Will and Mary Ellen opened The Animal Den in the Spring of 1998. Their goal was to build a resort where dog and cat owners could bring their pets to stay without worries. Their family includes three busy children and three furry friends Sheba, Tad, and Leo.

Larry Gill - Resort Director

Larry started with the company in March of 2003. He started as a Resort Staff Member and in August of 2005 was promoted to Resort Director. He takes excellent care of the Resort and its staff. He has a beautiful family and a playful goldendoodle named Barley.

Ashley Brucker - Resort Services Manager

Ashley came to us in November of 2011 and brings with her years of hospitality experience. Ashley keeps very busy at home with her two dogs Tia and Mya. Ashley also enjoys horses, church, and zumba.

Ashley Arndt - Resort Services Representative

Ashley has a personality that brightens our front desk each and every day she is here. She and her husband Brian are starting their family as well as caring for their two dogs Libby and Morgan.

Tammy Jackson - Resort Services Representative

Tammy joined The Animal Den family in September 2012. Her southern hospitality delights the customers and she is adjusting to life “Up North.” She has two beautiful children and a Shihchon named Millie.

Erin Spurlock - Resort Team Leader & Daycare Coordinator

Erin joined the team in April 2012. In August 2012 she took the reigns as DayCare Coordinator and ensures that all of the pooches play happily and safely. When not at the resort she tends to her three children as well as her five dogs Milo, Sheilah, Mary, Hunny, and Snoopy.

Tim Littig - Trainer

Tim began training with us in June of 2006. Even with his full-time job at The Indianapolis Zoo he manages to always bring his vast training knowledge and expertise to each and every class. Tim is a proud father of a beautiful girl and enjoys sports.

Whitney Lawson - Senior Groomer

Whitney started grooming with us in February of 2009. She has helped our Salon grow to become “The Place” to go for our resort guests. Whitney and her husband David are busy raising four daughters in addition to their three dogs Peek-a-chew, Joey, and Reba.

Beth Van Kleeck - Groomer

Beth joined The Animal Den in July 2012. Our Salon clients appreciate Beth’s thoroughness and promptness. As a new mom, Beth loves spending time with her son Noah and has two dogs named Jack and Echo.
