The Animal Den is proud to offer several options for grooming your pet, from full service baths to scheduling an appointment for the "works" with our in-house groomer, we are positive that we'll have your pet looking and feeling her best!
All grooming services are available for your pet either as a scheduled out groom or while she stays with us. During the week we can arrange for a full service bath on the day she goes home. She will love the pampering and extra attention not to mention your praise on how pretty she looks when you pick her up. Friday - Monday we can schedule grooming appointments for those pets who need that special style. She will be sure to turn heads as you parade her on her walk once back home. Whether your pets are boarding with us or just here for a day of fun during Daytime Retreat, our grooming services are the purrfect pampering that will compliment their stay.
Full Service Bath
This service is for dogs and cats who are between grooming appointments and just need freshened up or for those pets who don't require a hair cut. This service is available daily, please call to schedule your pets appointment today.
We use Nature's Specialties Grooming Products for our full service bath. Nature's Specialties has developed a full line of safe and gentle organic shampoos and conditioners for cats and dogs. The ingredients are high- quality natural ingredients that are bio-degradable and non-toxic, including Aloe Vera and Melaleuca Oil from the Australian Tea Tree plant.

Extra large breeds are never an obstacle in our grooming facility. Our large, walk in shower allows our staff to bathe any pet in comfort. She'll never feel confined or trapped because our shower is roomy and completely open on one side. With everything just at arms reach, our staff will have your large breed dog squeaky clean and feeling her best!

Every full service bath includes a nail trim, ear cleaning, blow dry, brush out, and bandanna. All services for every pet, large breed or miniature isONLY $30 .
Nail trims, for cats and dogs, are also available a la carte for ONLY $8 .

Grooming
Grooming your dog is an important aspect of her health and well being. Not only will she feel and look better after her grooming appointment, it also helps to reduce the discomfort of tangled or matted hair. Regular grooming may reduce the scratching and pulling of the coat and possible hot spots that are often associated with mattes and tangles.
Selecting a groomer is an important
decision. As a pet owner, you always want your pet to look and feel her best. Keeping her
coat in top condition can be, at times, more than tricky. Our certified in-house groomer,
Melissa Melvin, has been grooming dogs since 2000. Melissa has a natural talent to see the
true beauty of your pet and has even done some amazing total pet makeovers. She will sit down with you
to discuss your expectations along with any concerns or questions you may have.
During your consultation, Melissa will go over the style and cut you are looking for and listen
to any concerns you may have experienced from previous groomers. She has Grooming Packages available
which include all the fun extras that will make your pet sparkle! She will then examine your dog and
ascertain any areas that may be questionable, noting problem areas, and check for fleas. Melissa will
then offer her recommendations, review the groom instructions, and estimate a fee. This estimate will
be agreed upon by you and Melissa so there are no "surprises" when you come to pick your dog up.
When you call to schedule a groom appointment, The Animal Den's staff will give you an approximate fee you can expect. This quote is just an estimate. As a guide, we've listed the base fee for grooming services.
Always Included
Every groom includes shampoo, crème rinse, nail trim, ear clean, pad clean, anal gland expression if requested, brush out, bow or bandanna, and your desired, clip, trim, or style.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Indiana law now requires written permission for the release of your pets shot records. Please take a moment to double check that you have already provided them to us or have them packed with your pets belongings before checking in. Written release forms will be made available upon request at check in if needed
