Our ongoing effort to outfit all local fire departments with pet oxygen masks is a project we are passionate about. We have donated complete pet resuscitation kits to both the Zionsville and Brownsburg fire departments. We feel better knowing that if a pet happens to become a victim of a household fire, these fire fighters have a greater chance of a successful rescue through the use of the pet oxygen masks. We are continuing to provide additional kits to other area fire departments.

Educating children on pet safety and pet care is another passion of ours at The Animal Den. We host field trips at our Resort for elementary aged school children. We take advantage of this opportunity to discuss proper pet care and give the children a "behind the scenes" tour of our Resort. During these field trips we present a thorough demonstration on pet safety. Hundreds of kids have learned the safest way to pet dogs and how to behave when a strange dog approaches.

During the fall you can find us at the annual Zionsville Fall Festival. The Pet Pavilion at the festival has been our chance to get out in the community to meet and talk with many of our pet loving neighbors. We love the chance to see our friends at this fun event and invite you to come by our booth to see that's new at The Animal Den.

Each and every one of our clients is special to us. Your pets have found wonderful and loving homes. It is important to reach out to those pets still needing to find their special someone. We have partnered with HEART (Helping Every Animal Receive Treatment) as a donation location. Donations to HEART help sick and needy pets in nearby shelters receive the treatment and care they need to become adoptable. Donations made at our Resort go directly to HEART and help save lives of many wonderful pets.

The Animal Den has partnered with SCI Hope as an official sponsor. The SCI Hope Fund is a fund of the Hendricks Country Community Foundation and was founded in 2009 to assist individuals with spinal cord injuries. The fund was inspired be the experiences of John Wassen from Brownsburg, Indiana.
